What is Stronger Economies Together?

Mid-Columbia Economic Development District, with support from many partners, applied to the US Department of Agriculture, Rural Development in 2011 to be a part of the Stronger Economies Together training program available in Washington State.  MCEDD was one of two selected regions in the Northwest.

SET consists of seven sessions that will walk our region through a process to better our understanding of the forces at work both locally and globally and strengthen organizations in the Gorge through partnership.  MCEDD will leverage SET to support a diversified and integrated economy that enhances the opportunity for employment, increases the tax base, and provides for planning and strategic investment while safeguarding the area’s rural qualities, values and natural resources.
